It’s OK to look… Grand Opening Event
Our Grand Opening Event at Ellington was a huge success. Thank you to all 600+ of you who attended! We celebrated our opening with future homeowners, members of the Jack London Square and Oakland community, civic leaders – including a speech by Jerry Brown, members of the press, and everyone who has been following this building to our completion.
The performance and live music were unparalelled -with a stage built over the pool for performances by Loop!Station, and Angelo Moore and his 5 piece band. The aerialists were truly world class. As were the dancers moving throughout the building. Many thanks to Vau de Vire Society for their hard work and incredible performers making this event a success.
Not to be outdone, the local businesses came out in full support of our event, and provided incredible food and drink for our enjoyment. Miss Pearl’s Jam House served “Mini Skirts with nice buns”, Kincaids offered even more – including a refreshing citrus cooler, kobe meatloaf sliders and king crab and artichoke dip. JC Cellars poured a selection of their wines (our favorite was the Rose). Oh My Dawg! was grilling like crazy, The Home of Chicken and Waffles provided a feast of chicken drumettes, potato salad and cornbread. Yum!
